Wee Deliver Mail

One of the ways we celebrate strong communication and writing at CPS is through our school wide mail delivery system, Wee Deliver.

Ms. Karen Robeson serves as head post mistress for our school. Each classroom has its own address. At the beginning of the school year, a new postal directory is published with the names of every student in the school. Students are listed by classroom. The office, cafeteria and custodial staff have addresses as well.

Wee Deliver mail carriers must currently be in the second grade and are first recommended by their classroom teacher. Then, the selected students must pass a postal examination. The top twenty-four scores are chosen to be mail carriers for the school year. Twelve carriers will work the first semester of the school year, and the next twelve will work the second semester. The mail is delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week. Four students work on each day the mail is delivered.

The purpose of Wee Deliver is to enhance our students’ written communication skills and to promote a sense of family throughout our school. In addition, to be a Wee Deliver mail carrier a student must be on time for school and dependable. We believe this will help prepare our students for the future.
